Wiedźmin Hearthcraft aims to bring fully functional housing and set design to NextGen TW3, building on SBUI to introduce a streamlined, entry-level set of tools to creating virtual photography. Many meshes in-game have never been available through SBUI simply because they don’t have a w2ent equivalent, and the NextGen version of the game completely broke SBUI’s mapping of assets from Blood & Wine DLC, limiting player creativity to basegame and Hearts of Stone assets. Game assets contain an astounding amount of creativity and it’s a shame their breadth doesn’t gets showcased in community creations simply because of an ease of access issue. Additionally, this will add finished buildings (as opposed to empty one-sided shells) to the pool of available templates, giving the player further creative freedom. While the release of the official RedKit software for TW3 technically provides an alternative way for players to create custom environments & sets, as well as allows use of mesh-only assets, it does so at a much steeper learning curve than SBUI demands of a first-time user. Wiedźmin Hearthcraft provides an easier alternative with a narrower but curated selection of game assets, and utilizes the existing workflow of SBUI creation. Assets are no longer organized by quests/chapters/expansions but instead live in a nested hierarchy of categories, and are released as ‘packs’ by theme and purpose.

Nested Path Hierarchy

This is determined by SBUI format: template\path “item” “mod” “optional subcategory”

hearthcraft/structures/buildings “oxenfurt_patricians” “auction_house”

Allows for searching by: category (structures) adjective (auction) object (house) location (oxenfurt) and pack (patricians)

Mods are named with the following format: modwh_tt_rosewater_ablutions so that the pack is visible in the /mods folder but the collection remains abbreviated.
